Waaree Group Charts Global Path as Integrated Energy Transition Leader

In an exclusive interview with NDTV Profit, Dr. Hitesh Doshi, Chairman and Managing Director of Waaree Group, unveiled the company’s strategic blueprint to evolve into a fully integrated global energy solutions provider. Emphasizing vertical and horizontal integration, Waaree has built a robust presence across the solar value chain—from manufacturing cells and modules to executing EPC projects and operating as an Independent Power Producer (IPP).

With the recent launch of a solar cell manufacturing facility in Chikhli, Waaree reinforces its commitment to India’s 'Make in India' initiative, boosting domestic capabilities. The group is also set to expand internationally, with manufacturing operations planned in the U.S. to serve global markets and reduce geopolitical exposure.

Dr. Doshi highlighted the critical support of India’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) in strengthening the solar manufacturing ecosystem. He also noted Waaree’s diversification into emerging technologies such as battery energy storage and green hydrogen, aligning with future decarbonization goals.

The company is responding to surging energy demands driven by AI and data center growth. “We are not just a solar company—we are an energy transition company,” Dr. Doshi affirmed, positioning Waaree at the forefront of the clean energy transformation both in India and globally.
