Uttar Pradesh Invites Bids for 5 MW Solar Power Project

Feb 12, 2025

Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has invited bids for a 5 MW solar power project in Mau, Uttar Pradesh, with the last date for submission set for March 10, 2025. The bids will be opened the next day. The bidding process includes submission of a document fee of Rs29,500 along with an earnest money deposit of Rs800,000 per MW.

The selected bidders will need to provide a performance bank guarantee of Rs20 lakh per MW within 30 days after receiving the letter of intent. The project is expected to achieve a minimum annual Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) of 19%. During the first ten years of the project, bidders must ensure that the energy supplied at the delivery point meets CUF levels between +10% and -15% of the declared annual CUF. This is crucial for the success of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

Bidders are required to use only commercially proven technologies to reduce technological risks and ensure timely project commissioning. The solar modules must be selected from the latest Approved List of Models and Manufacturers to ensure reliability. The entire project must be commissioned within 15 months of signing the PPA. UPNEDA has also committed to providing the land in Saraisadi village on a 30-year lease at Rs15,000 per Acre.
