Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) Invites EoI for 7 MW Solar Projects Under PM-KUSUM

The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) has issued an Expression of Interest (EoI) for 7 MW of decentralized solar power projects under Component-A of the PM-KUSUM scheme. The projects will be installed on barren, uncultivable, or agricultural land within a 5 km radius of substations.

- Bid Submission Deadline: March 27, 2025
- Bid Opening Date: April 1, 2025
- Bank Guarantee: Rs100,000/MW
- Project Completion Timeline: 8 months
Project Scope
- Capacity: 500 kW – 2 MW per project (Minimum 4 acres/MW required)
- Grid Connection: Developers must construct a dedicated 11 kV transmission line to the substation. If multiple projects are awarded at the same substation, a common transmission line may be used.
- Tariff: Rs3.11/kWh (Levelized)
- PPA Duration: 25 years with Haryana Power Purchase Centre (HPPC)
- Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF): Minimum 21%
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible Bidders: Farmers, farmer cooperatives, panchayats, farmer producer organizations (FPOs), water user associations, or developers in partnership with farmers.
- Financial Requirement: Bidders must show access to at least 30% of the project cost.
This initiative aligns with the PM-KUSUM scheme's goal of promoting decentralized solar projects, enhancing farmers' income, and strengthening Haryana's renewable energy capacity.
