Thiruvananthapuram's Solar City Project Nears 100% Completion

Thiruvananthapuram is set to become the first city in India where all public buildings are powered by solar energy, with the completion of its Solar City project. The city has equipped 515 government buildings with rooftop solar systems, totaling 17 MW under the Solar City programme. Funded by Smart City Thiruvananthapuram Limited and implemented by ANERT, the project powers institutions like the Kerala Legislative Assembly and Government Medical College.
