TGV SRAAC Adds 2.5 MW Solar, Moves Toward 100 MW Goal
Jul 23, 2025
TGV SRAAC Ltd., a leading producer of chlor-alkali products, castor derivatives, and fatty acids, has expanded its solar power capacity by 2.5 MW, bringing its total installed solar capacity to 40.4 MW. The addition is part of a broader plan approved by the company's Board to develop 60 MW of solar capacity, of which 19.6 MW is still under development and reportedly progressing well.
Earlier in July, the Board sanctioned a Rs120 crore investment to set up an additional 40 MW solar plant. Once complete, this will raise the company’s total solar capacity to 100 MW, reflecting TGV SRAAC’s commitment to clean energy and reducing operational dependence on conventional sources. The renewable capacity expansion is aligned with the company's sustainability strategy and energy cost optimization plans.
