Tata Power Reports Record Rs5,000 Cr FY25 PAT, Driven by Solar and Renewables Growth

Tata Power posted a record profit after tax (PAT) of Rs1,306 crore in Q4 FY25, marking a 25% YoY growth, with total PAT for the year crossing Rs5,000 crore. This performance was backed by robust power sales, full-scale ramp-up of its solar cell and module lines in Tirunelveli, and over 1.5 lakh rooftop solar installations totaling 3 GW. The company’s revenue in Q4 grew 7% YoY to Rs17,238 crore, while EBITDA rose 14% to Rs3,829 crore.

For FY25, Tata Power reported its highest-ever annual revenue at Rs64,504 crore—a 26% increase YoY. The company commissioned over 2.5 GW of renewable energy during the year, including 1 GW in-house utility-scale projects, 600 MW rooftop solar, and 900 MW for third-party customers. Its renewable energy capacity under construction stands at 9,935 MW, with significant land acquisition and grid connectivity in place for future projects.

Tata Power's solar manufacturing capacity stands at 4,900 MW for both cells and modules. Its group captive and utility-scale EPC order book is Rs11,381 crore, and rooftop solar EPC orders total Rs864 crore. PAT for the renewable segment in Q3 FY25 rose 59% to Rs214 crore, reflecting the company’s continued push into clean energy. CEO Praveer Sinha emphasized the company's milestone achievements and strong momentum across all business segments, reinforcing its leadership in India’s energy transition.
