Sycamore Creek Solar Project: Boosting Ohio’s Clean Energy and Economy

National Grid Renewables has announced the groundbreaking of the Sycamore Creek Solar Project in Crawford County, Ohio. This 117 MW solar project is set to play a significant role in Ohio’s transition to clean energy while generating an estimated Rs2,37,09,78,000 in economic benefits for the local community. The project highlights the company’s strong commitment to sustainable energy solutions, bringing its total renewable portfolio in Ohio to over 675 MW.
The Sycamore Creek project is National Grid Renewables’ fifth solar project in Ohio. The company acknowledges the support from Ohioans in expanding its renewable energy footprint in the state. According to Joe Ibrahim, Vice President of Construction, the continuous growth of solar projects in Ohio reflects a strong commitment to clean energy initiatives and economic development.
It is expected to generate new tax revenues and create approximately 160 construction jobs, further strengthening Ohio’s green economy. Additionally, the project will use Ohio-made Series 6 Plus technology, reinforcing local manufacturing and boosting employment in the renewable energy sector.
