Suzlon Secures Third Consecutive 170.1 MW Wind Order from AMPIN Energy
Jun 20, 2025
Suzlon Energy Ltd. has announced its third consecutive wind energy order from AMPIN Energy Transition, securing a 170.1 MW project in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. As part of the agreement, Suzlon will supply 54 of its advanced S144 wind turbine generators (WTGs), each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW, featuring Hybrid Lattice Towers (HLT). The scope of work includes complete project execution—covering supply, installation, commissioning, and long-term operations and maintenance services.
This repeat order highlights the strong partnership between Suzlon and AMPIN, aimed at accelerating India’s transition to cleaner power distribution. Suzlon, one of India’s leading renewable energy companies, boasts an installed wind energy capacity of over 21 GW across 17 countries.
AMPIN Energy Transition, a key player in India’s energy shift, continues to invest in scalable renewable infrastructure. The Kurnool wind project aligns with broader national objectives to decarbonize the energy sector and support increasing electricity demand with sustainable sources.
This development also reflects growing confidence in Suzlon’s S144 platform, which is designed for optimal performance in low-wind sites, enabling higher energy yields and project viability. The project will significantly contribute to Andhra Pradesh’s renewable capacity and India’s wind energy ambitions.
