Suzlon and Integrum Win BPCL Tender for 100 MW Wind Projects in MP and Maharashtra

May 07, 2025

Suzlon Energy and Integrum Energy have emerged as winners in Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.’s (BPCL) tender to develop 100 MW of wind power projects, each securing 50 MW. Floated in December 2023, the projects must be commissioned within two years and will supply captive wind power to BPCL’s Mumbai and Bina Refineries. These will replace fossil fuel-based energy with renewables, helping BPCL meet its sustainability targets.

The wind farms will be established on a lump-sum turnkey basis, using wind generators listed in the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers, each with a minimum capacity of 2,000 kW. Both developers will provide comprehensive O&M services for up to 10 years.

This development is part of BPCL’s broader goal to build a 10 GW renewable portfolio by 2040. To date, BPCL has installed 31.6 MW of solar, 11.8 MW of wind, and 18 MW of energy-efficient lighting capacity. The company has also been active in solar auctions, winning 150 MW in NTPC’s 1,200 MW tender at Rs2.55/kWh, and is advancing into green hydrogen and CBG through JVs with Sembcorp Green Hydrogen India and GPS Renewables.
