Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Secures Rs1,470 Crore in Green Energy Projects
Apr 02, 2025
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) has secured new clean energy projects valued at Rs1,470 crore, further solidifying its presence in India’s renewable energy sector. The company has received multiple project awards, including a hybrid wind-solar power plant and large-scale solar installations in Rajasthan and Gujarat.
The first project involves the development of a 69.3 MW wind-solar hybrid facility, with an installed capacity of 75 MW in Rajasthan. This hybrid system is expected to enhance power generation efficiency by combining solar and wind energy sources.
In addition, SWREL has emerged as the lowest bidder for a significant 260 MW turnkey solar project in Gujarat. This large-scale solar installation will contribute to the state’s clean energy transition and bolster India’s overall renewable energy capacity.
Apart from these, the company has also received a letter of award for another photovoltaic (PV) plant in Rajasthan, reinforcing its expansion in the state’s solar energy sector.
These project wins highlight SWREL’s continued growth in India’s renewable energy space, further supporting the country’s goal of achieving ambitious clean energy targets. With a strong pipeline of solar and hybrid energy projects, SWREL remains a key player in India’s transition to a greener and more sustainable energy future.
