Smt. Parminder Chopra Takes on Additional Role as CMD of REC Limited

Smt. Parminder Chopra, currently serving as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Power Finance Corporation Ltd. (PFC), has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of CMD at REC Limited. The appointment, effective immediately, was announced through an official order from the Ministry of Power.

According to the directive, the government has authorized Smt. Chopra to oversee REC Ltd. alongside her existing duties at PFC. This interim arrangement will continue for a period of three months or until further instructions are issued, whichever occurs first.

The Ministry’s order stated, “The competent authority has approved the assignment of the additional charge of Chairman & Managing Director, REC Ltd., to Smt. Parminder Chopra, CMD, Power Finance Corporation Ltd., with immediate effect, in addition to her current responsibilities.”

This strategic move reflects the government’s efforts to ensure seamless leadership across key public sector undertakings in the power financing domain, leveraging Smt. Chopra’s expertise during this transitional period.
