Jul 25, 2025
SJVN has issued three tenders to develop 7.82 MW of rooftop solar projects with battery storage on central government buildings across the eastern, southern, and northern regions under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
The Eastern Region (1.5 MW) covers states like Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and West Bengal. The Southern Region (3.27 MW) includes Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. The Northern Region (3.05 MW) includes Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Chandigarh. These projects will be installed on buildings of key ministries such as Agriculture, Commerce, Consumer Affairs, and others.
The scope of work involves design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and 25 years of O&M. Key responsibilities include securing grid approvals, preparing site surveys and feasibility reports, and installing safety infrastructure like guardrails.
Bidders must submit proposals by August 13, 2025, along with an EMD of Rs1,000/kW, a document fee of Rs5,900, and a performance bank guarantee of Rs2,500/kW.
Consortiums are permitted with up to three members, led by an entity with a minimum 51% stake. Bidders must have executed at least 500 kW of rooftop, ground-mounted, or floating solar projects in India, with one project of minimum 100 kW capacity, operational for at least six months. Financially, they must meet an average turnover of Rs15,000/kW over the last three years.
This tender follows SJVN’s recent call for bids on a 1 MW rooftop project in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.
