Serentica Plans $15 Billion Investment to Reach 17 GW Renewable Capacity by 2030
Jul 24, 2025
Serentica Renewables is set to invest $15 billion to scale its renewable energy (RE) capacity to 17 GW by 2030, focusing on round-the-clock (RTC) power solutions. Of this target, 60% will be solar and 40% wind, with solar projects in Rajasthan and Karnataka, and wind projects in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Rajasthan.
The company currently operates 1 GW of capacity and aims to quadruple it to 4 GW by 2026 and reach 7 GW by FY28. It already serves major industrial clients including BALCO, Hindustan Zinc, Vedanta Aluminium, and Cairn. With a committed portfolio of 7.5 GW—35% tied to central government auctioned PPAs—Serentica’s FDRE (Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy) model ensures time-block level power delivery, enhancing reliability for industrial consumers.
Once operational, the 4 GW capacity alone will offset 13 million tonnes of CO? emissions annually. By 2030, the company expects to supply over 50 billion units of clean energy per year, displacing 47 million tonnes of CO?. The ambitious plan underlines Serentica's strong execution capability and growing investor confidence in its scalable renewable business model.
