Sembcorp Launches Modular 18MWp Solar Project at PSA’s Keppel Terminal
Jan 28, 2025
Sembcorp Solar Singapore, in partnership with PSA Singapore, has launched an 18MWp modular solar farm at PSA's Keppel Terminal. Spanning 15 hectares, this innovative short-term project will operate for three years, producing 22,500 MWh annually—enough to power over 5,000 HDB flats. The flexible design enables easy redeployment to other locations. Sembcorp and PSA aim to advance Singapore's low-carbon transition by repurposing land and leveraging renewable energy expertise, aligning with the nation’s solar energy targets for 2025.
Jen Tan, Head of Renewables Business (Singapore & Indonesia), Sembcorp Industries, said, “This solar farm is a testament to Sembcorp and PSA’s shared commitment in advancing Singapore’s renewable energy ambitions as it transitions to a low-carbon future. By leveraging existing land and our expertise in modular, scalable solar design, we are pleased to contribute meaningfully to Singapore’s solar energy targets and further solidify our role as a key enabler of the country’s sustainable energy future.”
