Reliance NU Suntech (a subsidiary of Reliance Power) to Invest Rs 10,000 Crore in Asia’s Largest Solar and Battery Energy Storage Project in Kurnool

Reliance NU Suntech Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Reliance Power, is investing Rs 10,000 crore to build Asia’s largest solar and battery energy storage project in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The 930 MW project will include a 465 MW/1,860 MWh battery storage system, providing a 4-hour peak power supply daily.
This project, backed by a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), will supply power to multiple Indian discoms and create significant employment—1,000 direct and 5,000 indirect jobs. Set to be completed in 24 months, it is a major step in boosting India’s renewable energy capacity.
