Railway Energy Management Company (REMCL) Invites Bids for 500 MW RTC Power Supply to Indian Railways

Railway Energy Management Company (REMCL) has invited bids for developers to supply 500 MW of round-the-clock (RTC) power from grid-connected renewable energy projects, with or without storage, for Indian Railways. The last date of Bid submission is 25th February, 2025. Bids will be opened on 27th February. Bidders must submit an earnest deposit of ?9.80 Lakh/MW and a performance bank guarantee of Rs20 Lakh /MW.
The project will be developed on a build-own-operate basis, and developers must ensure high availability of power over the contract period. The projects must use approved technologies and be commissioned within 24 months. Bidders can sell excess energy and must meet specific financial and technical criteria.
