Powertrac Group Commissions 40 MWp Solar Projects Under PM-KUSUM-C Scheme

Mar 05, 2025

Powertrac Group has successfully commissioned one-on-one Ground Mounted Solar Projects under the PM-KUSUM-C Scheme for Feeder Level Solarization (FLS) with PGVCL DISCOM. As part of this initiative, Powertrac signed a 40 MWp Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) at a competitive tariff of Rs3.00/unit using Non-DCR solar panels. The project also benefits from a Rs1.05 crore per MWp Central Financial Assistance (CFA) subsidy from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India.

The PM-KUSUM-C scheme plays a crucial role in promoting distributed solar energy adoption for agricultural and rural electrification. By enabling feeder-level solarization, the initiative aims to reduce dependency on conventional power sources, lower electricity costs for farmers, and enhance energy security.

This successful commissioning highlights Powertrac Group’s commitment to advancing India’s renewable energy goals and strengthening solar power integration into the agricultural sector. The project sets a strong precedent for future large-scale solar installations under government-backed programs, ensuring economic and environmental benefits for rural communities and the power sector.
