Powertrac Commissions 2 MW Solar Plant Under PM-KUSUM Component C

Mar 07, 2025

Powertrac Group has successfully commissioned a 2 MW (AC) solar plant in Jetpur on March 4, 2025, further strengthening its commitment to India's renewable energy transition. The project falls under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) Component C, aimed at solarizing agricultural feeders to provide reliable and affordable daytime power to farmers.

Key Features of PM-KUSUM Component C (FLS)
  • Feeder-Level Solarization: Solar plants are installed to power single or multiple agricultural feeders at 11 kV or higher voltage levels.
  • Flexible Installation Models: Projects can be developed through CAPEX or RESCO modes, ensuring accessibility and scalability.
  • Financial Viability:
    • Central Financial Assistance (CFA): 30% subsidy (50% for NE & hilly states/UTs).
    • Estimated Cost: Rs3.5 Cr/MW.
    • Solarization of Pumps: Allowed for any capacity, but CFA is capped at 7.5 HP per pump.

This initiative aligns with the Government of India’s vision for decentralized renewable energy adoption, ensuring energy security and sustainability for India’s farmers. With more such projects in the pipeline, Powertrac continues to drive clean energy solutions for rural India.
