POWERGRID Wins CBIP Award 2024 for Excellence in Transmission

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has been celebrated as the "Best Performing Power Transmission (System) Utility" at the CBIP Awards 2024. The prestigious award was conferred during a ceremony held at the SCOPE Convention Centre, spotlighting the company’s outstanding contributions to India’s power transmission network.

The award was received by Sh. R. K. Tyagi, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of POWERGRID, accompanied by Sh. Subir Sen, Executive Director (HVDC), Sh. Adish Kumar Gupta, Executive Director (Corporate Communication & Law), and other key team members. This recognition highlights POWERGRID’s unwavering commitment to ensuring a robust and efficient energy grid across the nation.

In a proud moment for the leadership, Sh. R. K. Tyagi was also honored with the CBIP Individual Award for his remarkable role in shaping the power sector’s growth. Crediting the achievement to the hard work of POWERGRID’s project teams, Sh. Tyagi praised their resilience in overcoming obstacles to deliver critical infrastructure projects nationwide.

Adding to the accolades, Sh. Pradeep Singh Chauhan, Chief Manager at POWERGRID, was named the recipient of the CBIP Young Engineer Award in the under-35 category. His innovative contributions to the power industry have marked him as a rising star in the field.

These honors reaffirm POWERGRID’s leadership in advancing India’s energy landscape, blending experience and youthful energy to drive sustainable progress in the sector.
