ONGC Invites Bids for 2.01 MW Solar Project in Maharashtra

The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has issued a tender for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 2.01 MW solar project at its Uran thermal facility in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. The project will span 35 locations and incorporate rooftop, bus port, shed, and solar tree installations.
The deadline for bid submissions is March 18, 2025, with bid openings scheduled for March 19, 2025. The selected contractor must complete the project within 240 days. The scope includes designing, engineering, procurement, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the grid-connected solar system for 10 years, extendable to 15 years.
Key financial requirements include:
- Earnest Money Deposit (EMD): Rs23.92 crore
- EPC Performance Guarantee: 10% of the contract value
- O&M Bank Guarantee: 3% of the total O&M cost for 10 years
- O&M Charges: A minimum quote of Rs13.04 crore for the first year, with a mandatory 3% annual increment
The project will operate at 415V low-tension level for power evacuation. The module mounting structure must be optimized for seasonal or fixed tilt to ensure maximum energy generation. Only solar modules from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) can be used.
