ONGC Invites Bids for 10 MW Floating Solar Project in Gujarat

The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has issued a tender for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 10 MW (AC) floating solar power project at its Hazira facility in Gujarat. The project also includes a seven-year operations and maintenance (O&M) contract.

Project Details and Technical Specifications
  • The floating solar project will be installed over two water reservoirs and connected to ONGC’s 11 kV internal grid.
  • It will feature 545 Wp solar modules, arranged in a landscape orientation with a 5-degree tilt.
  • The system will be equipped with four 2.5 MVA inverters to enhance power conversion efficiency.
  • One of the reservoirs must undergo cleaning and site preparation before installation.
Bid Submission and Financial Requirements
  • Last date for bid submission: April 6, 2025.
  • Bid opening date: April 7, 2025.
  • Earnest money deposit (EMD): ?5.175 million.
  • Bidders must guarantee a minimum net electrical energy generation of 20.45 million kWh in the first year, ensuring a capacity utilization factor (CUF) of 23.34%.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Bidders must have prior experience in commissioning central inverters for solar projects with a cumulative capacity of at least 50 MW.
