Odisha Mandates Service Centers for Solar Pump OEMs to Boost Solar Irrigation Initiatives

The Odisha government has introduced a new mandate requiring solar pump Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to establish a minimum of four service centers within the state. The initiative, announced by the Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA), aims to enhance service accessibility for solar pump users and align with the state’s push to expand its off-grid solar capacity under the PM-KUSUM scheme.

OEMs are required to either set up their own service centers or collaborate with local partners. The move is expected to strengthen Odisha’s solar infrastructure and drive the growth of solar irrigation solutions in the region.
