O2 Power Signs MoU for 1,000 MW Hybrid Energy Project in Madhya Pradesh

O2 Power has partnered with the New and Renewable Energy Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, to develop a 1,000 MW hybrid energy project in the state. The MoU was signed between O2 Power and Additional Chief Secretary Manu Srivastava at the Global Investor Summit 2025 in Bhopal. The project involves an investment of Rs 5,500 crore and strengthens O2 Power’s renewable footprint in Madhya Pradesh.
Parag Sharma, Founder and CEO of O2 Power, emphasized the company’s commitment to accelerating the state’s clean energy transition by delivering sustainable and reliable power solutions. He also acknowledged the MP government’s support, particularly for:
- Removing the Harit Urja Cess
- Allowing partial revenue land allocation for REIA projects
With this collaboration, O2 Power looks forward to participating in more renewable energy bids, especially in the wind sector, further driving India’s green energy growth.
