NVVN Issues Tender for 8 MW Rooftop Solar Project at DRDO Hyderabad

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has floated a tender for the development of an 8 MW grid-connected rooftop solar power project at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) campus in Hyderabad. The last date to submit bids is February 19, 2025, with bid opening scheduled for February 20, 2025.
Bidders are required to pay an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs50 Lakh. The scope of work includes the supply, installation, and commissioning of the solar project, along with civil and associated works. Selected bidders must also provide operation and maintenance (O&M) services for 10 years post-commissioning.
The project must be completed within 22.5 months from the date of the award notification. Successful bidders will need to submit a performance security equivalent to 10% of the contract value within 28 days of the award. Bidders must qualify as Class-I or Class-II local suppliers and provide details of their gross turnover for the last three financial years. They must also submit chartered accountant-certified balance sheets and profit and loss statements for the same period.
Bidders from countries sharing a land border with India are eligible to participate, provided they are registered with the competent authorities. Indian bidders with transfer of technology agreements with entities from these countries must also meet the registration requirements. However, these conditions do not apply to bidders from countries involved in Indian government development projects or those receiving lines of credit from India.
