NTPC Renewable Energy Seeks Bids for Land, Power Evacuation for 550 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan

NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL) has issued a tender for the land and power evacuation package to develop 550 MW of inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar projects with a battery energy storage system (BESS) near its Shimboo ka Burj solar project in Rajasthan.

Key Details:

• Bid Submission Deadline: April 25, 2025
• Bidding Document Fee: Rs. 22,500
• Project Scope:
  • Procurement of government or private land on a freehold or leasehold basis.
  • Site preparation, access roads, topographical surveys, and geotechnical investigations.
  • Development of tracker-based mounting structures and fencing for security.
  • 400 kV AIS pooling substation with tie transformers and 33 kV pooling switchgear.
  • Construction of a single-circuit EHV transmission line from the project substation to the 400 kV Shimboo ka Burj switchyard.
  • Installation of a telemetry system, power project controller, and monitoring systems.
  • Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services for three years after commissioning.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must have arranged land for grid-connected solar or wind projects with a minimum of 100 MW, including at least one project of 50 MW or more.
• Alternatively, should have developed or executed an industrial project in sectors like power, steel, oil & gas, petrochemicals, fertilizers, cement, or coal mining worth at least Rs. 42 crore.
• Must have executed at least one electrical substation (33 kV or higher) with circuit breakers and power transformers.
• Minimum annual turnover of Rs. 42 crore over the past three financial years, with a positive net worth in the last financial year.
