NTPC REL Invites Bids for 240 MW Solar + BESS Project in Rajasthan

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has issued a tender for land and power evacuation packages for NTPC Green Energy’s (NGEL) 240 MW solar project with battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Devikot, Rajasthan. The last date for bid submission is April 29, 2025, with bid opening on the same day. Interested bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of Rs2.0 crore.

The scope of work includes:

  • Land acquisition (5 acres/MW, minimum lease of 29 years, max 10% govt. land)
  • Approach road development, topography survey, geotechnical studies
  • Engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) of pooling substations and transmission lines
  • Grid compliance studies and O&M for three years

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Experience in land arrangement for at least 100 MW of grid-connected solar/wind projects, with one project of at least 50 MW at a single location.
  • Alternatively, experience in EPC for power, steel, oil & gas, petrochemical, or coal-related projects worth Rs23.5 crore.
  • Minimum annual turnover of Rs23.5 crore over the past three years.
  • Experience in constructing and operating electrical substations of at least 33 kV.

This follows NTPC REL’s recent bid for a 550 MW interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar project with BESS near the Shimboo ka Burj solar project in Rajasthan, reinforcing its commitment to large-scale renewable energy storage projects.
