NTPC Issues Tender to Develop Rooftop Solar Projects in Africa

NTPC Limited has launched a tender on behalf of São Tomé and Príncipe, a nation in Africa, for the development of rooftop solar projects. The project will be financed by the International Solar Alliance (ISA), with NTPC serving as the Project Management Consultant (PMC). The bid deadline is 5th February, 2025.

The plan aims to install 50 kWp of rooftop solar capacity. Bidders must ensure advanced technology usage, with solar modules having a minimum efficiency of 19% and power capacity of at least 530 Wp. Eligibility requires bidders to have successfully commissioned a minimum 80 kWp solar power plant. Financial criteria demand an average annual turnover of at least USD 265,000 over the last three years.
