NTPC Group's Power Generation Rises 4% to 238.6 BUs in FY25:

NTPC Group has reported a 4% increase in power generation, reaching 238.6 billion units (BUs) for the financial year ending March 31, 2025. The company also expanded its installed capacity by adding 3,972 MW, bringing its total capacity to approximately 80 GW.

In addition to its operational capacity, NTPC has 32 GW of projects under construction, including 15 GW dedicated to renewable energy. The company is on track to achieve its target of 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032.

  • 26% Growth in Coal Dispatch: ~45 MMT
  • ~18% Increase in Power Trading: 41.45 BU

As India’s largest integrated power utility under the Ministry of Power, NTPC supplies nearly one-fourth of the nation’s electricity demand. The company has also been actively expanding into emerging energy sectors, including e-mobility, battery storage, pumped hydro storage, waste-to-energy, nuclear energy, and green hydrogen solutions.
