Northern Railway Issues Tenders for 2.79 MW Solar Projects

The Northern Railway’s Moradabad division has floated two tenders for installing 2.791 MW of solar power across residential and service buildings, as well as level crossing gates. Bids are due by February 27, 2025, and will be opened on the same day. The scope of work includes designing, supplying, testing, and commissioning the projects using Mono PERC half-cut solar modules, string inverters with MPPT and remote data logging, and aluminum mounting structures.
Tender 1 (1.229 MW)
This tender involves setting up 1.229 MW of solar projects on residential buildings within the division. Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs481,000.
Tender 2 (1.562 MW)
The second tender comprises a 1.527 MW solar installation for service buildings and a 35 kW project at level crossing gates. The required EMD is Rs564,000.
Both projects must be commissioned within six months of award and include a 10-year comprehensive annual maintenance service at Rs586.46/kW after a one-year warranty period. Joint ventures and consortiums are not permitted to bid. Eligible bidders must have executed similar projects in the last seven years, meeting at least 30%-60% of the advertised tender value, and must demonstrate an average annual turnover matching or exceeding the project cost.
