Northeastern Railway’s Varanasi Division Invites Bids for 10.4 MW Rooftop Solar Projects in Gorakhpur

The electrical division of Northeastern Railway, headquartered in Varanasi, has announced four tenders for setting up grid-connected rooftop solar power systems totaling 10.4 MW across multiple buildings in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.

The four Tender capacities are 2.71 MW, 2.8 MW, 2.5 MW & 2.4 MW.

Selected bidders will be responsible for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of Mono PERC half-cut solar modules, adhering to quality standards set by the Solar Energy Corporation of India and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. Installations will take place on building rooftops, platform sheds, and pathways.

The scope includes setting up inverters, data logging systems, and protective components like ultraviolet-resistant conduits, 4 sq mm copper cables, long barrel lugs, bus bars, and ferrules. The projects must be completed within six months of awarding, and cleaning of solar modules must be carried out every 15 days.
