NHPC Seeks Bidders for 19.20 MW Rooftop Solar Projects on Government Buildings in Haryana

NHPC Limited has invited bids for the development of 19.20 MW rooftop solar projects on government buildings in Haryana under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model. The initiative aims to enhance solar adoption in the state by utilizing government rooftops for clean energy generation.
Key Dates and Financial Requirements
- Bid submission deadline: March 24, 2025
- Bid opening date: March 28, 2025
- Earnest money deposit (EMD): Rs1.03 crore
- Tender fee: Rs5,000
The selected bidder will be responsible for the design, engineering, procurement, and supply of materials and equipment. The scope also includes:
- Multi-level inspections, packing, forwarding, unloading, and storage
- Associated civil works
- Erection, testing, and commissioning
- Synchronization with the existing distribution network
- Obtaining necessary permits, licenses, insurance, and grid connectivity approvals
Bidders must meet at least one of the following technical qualifications:
- Designed, supplied, erected, and commissioned solar projects with a cumulative installed capacity of at least 400 kW, with one project of at least 40 kW.
- Developed solar-based grid-connected power projects with a cumulative installed capacity of 400 kW, including one project of at least 40 kW.
- Executed a single project worth at least Rs4 Crore in the last ten years as developers or EPC contractors in process industries or infrastructure development.
- Executed at least one electrical substation of 11 kV or higher, including power transformers and voltage-level circuit breakers.
Financially, bidders must have:
- An average annual turnover of at least Rs34.57 crore over the last three years.
- A positive net worth for at least the previous two years.
This tender follows NHPC’s recent bid for a 24.22 MW rooftop solar project across 245 government buildings in 25 states and union territories. The company continues to expand its solar portfolio by leveraging government building rooftops to contribute to India’s renewable energy goals.
