Jul 30, 2025

NHPC has issued a Request for Selection (RfS) to develop 1,200 MW of solar capacity at the Jalaun Solar Power Park in Uttar Pradesh, inviting bids through tariff-based competitive bidding. The project is divided into four units of 300 MW each, with developers allowed to bid for a minimum of 300 MW and a maximum of 600 MW.

The scope includes development, operation, and maintenance of the solar plants until interconnection at the pooling substation. The last date for bid submission is September 5, 2025, and techno-commercial bids will be opened on September 10, 2025.

Bidders must pay a processing fee of Rs20 lakh (plus GST) for 300 MW and Rs30 lakh for 600 MW. An Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs10 crore is required. Projects must use MNRE-approved solar modules (List-I) and achieve a minimum CUF of 26% annually.

To qualify financially, bidders must have a net worth of Rs79.48 lakh/MW, and an annual turnover of Rs119.22 lakh/MW or working capital of Rs44.16 lakh/MW in the last financial year. The project mandates commercially established and operational solar technologies to ensure timely commissioning and minimize risks.
