NHPC Achieves COD for Three Units of 800 MW Parbati-II Hydro Project

Shri R.K. Chaudhary, Chairman & Managing Director of NHPC, conveyed his message on the successful Commercial Operation Declaration (COD) of three units (200 MW each) of the 800 MW Parbati-II Hydroelectric Project in Himachal Pradesh. This milestone marks a significant achievement in India's hydropower sector, reinforcing NHPC’s commitment to expanding clean energy capacity.

He acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the project team, engineers, and stakeholders who contributed to overcoming challenges and ensuring the timely commissioning of these units. The Parbati-II project is expected to play a crucial role in stabilizing the power supply, enhancing grid reliability, and supporting India’s renewable energy targets.
