MPUVNL Invites Bids for 1,500 MW Solar Projects Under PM-KUSUM Component C in Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam (MPUVNL) has issued a request for proposal (RfP) to select renewable energy generators for setting up 1,500 MW of solar projects under Component C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) program. The generated power will be sold to MP Power Management Company, supporting farmers in solarizing their agricultural pumps.

Interested bidders must submit proposals by March 31, 2025, with bid openings scheduled for April 7. An earnest money deposit of Rs 100,000 per MW, a tender processing fee, and 18% GST are applicable.

The scope includes the complete design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of solar projects, including bay construction and switchgear installation at substations. Successful bidders will also provide 25 years of operation and maintenance services.

Bidding Modes

  • Self-development mode: Open to individual farmers, farmer groups, cooperatives, panchayats, farmer producer organizations, water user associations, and government agricultural institutes. No financial eligibility criteria are required, but bidders must own the land for the project.
  • Developer mode: Open to corporate entities, bidding consortiums, and joint ventures. Developers must have a net worth of Rs 1 crore per MW.
