Malaysia Invites Bids for 2000 MW Solar Projects Under PETRA+ Program

Malaysia's Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) has opened bids for 2000 MW of solar power projects under Phase V of its LSS PETRA+ program. The capacity is divided into two packages: Package A offers 1.5 GW of ground-mounted solar projects, and Package B offers 500 MW of floating solar projects. The bids are open to Malaysian companies with at least 51% local equity or consortia meeting the same criteria. The projects are expected to generate Rs1.8 billion in investments.
