Maharashtra to Build 1.2 GW Solar Park in Solapur in Collaboration with UK Firm

In a significant boost to renewable energy in Maharashtra, Hazoor Multi Projects Ltd. (HMPL) has announced the development of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Saur Urja Park (CSMSUP), one of the state’s first large-scale solar parks. The 1.2 GW solar park, spread across 4,200 acres in Solapur district, is being developed in partnership with a multinational company from the United Kingdom.

The project will incorporate both fixed and tracking solar panels, with the latter designed to follow the sun’s movement throughout the day. This dual approach ensures optimal energy generation, setting a new benchmark for solar projects in India.
