L&T Secures Offshore Contract from QatarEnergy LNG

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) Hydrocarbon Business has won its biggest-ever contract, valued at over INR 15,000 crore, from QatarEnergy LNG for the North Field Production Sustainability Offshore Compression Project (NFPS COMP 4). This Ultra Mega Offshore Contract marks a significant milestone for L&T in the global energy sector.
The scope of work includes the engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of two offshore compression complexes. These will consist of:
- Large offshore platforms with compression and power generation facilities
- Living quarters, flare platforms, and interconnected bridges
- Infrastructure located 80 km off the northeast coast of Qatar
L&T Chairman & MD S.N. Subrahmanyan hailed this as a landmark achievement, reinforcing Qatar’s position as a global LNG leader while expanding L&T’s international energy portfolio.
Subramanian Sarma, Deputy MD & President of L&T, expressed gratitude for QatarEnergy LNG’s trust in L&T’s expertise. He emphasized that this collaboration strengthens their partnership and aligns with Qatar’s strategic energy security goals.
This contract further cements L&T’s role as a key player in global offshore energy projects, setting new benchmarks in project execution and innovation.
