L&T and Power China Chosen for Masdar's Solar PV and Battery Gigascale Project

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and PowerChina have been selected as preferred EPC contractors for Masdar’s groundbreaking 24/7 solar PV and battery storage gigascale project in Abu Dhabi. Developed in partnership with EWEC, the project will combine 5.2 GW of solar capacity with 19 GWh of battery storage, delivering 1 GW of continuous renewable energy. Spanning 90 sq km in the Abu Dhabi desert, the project includes a north site and south site, each contributing 2.6 GW and 9.5 GWh of PV capacity. L&T will oversee EPC work for the north site.
