Kerala Regulator approves 500 MW Solar Power from SECI

The Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission approved KSEB’s plan to procure 500 MW solar power from SECI under the ISTS Tranche-XV scheme.
This includes 250 MW for peak hours at Rs3.94–Rs3.95 per unit. The Commission recommended advancing the supply date to June 30, 2026, potentially reducing costs to Rs3.79–Rs3.80 per unit by cutting ISTS charges by 25%. SECI, a Navratna PSU, signed the agreement with KSEB in September 2024.
