KEC International Secures INR 1,133 Crore Transmission & Distribution Orders in India

May 19, 2025

KEC International Ltd., an RPG Group company and major player in infrastructure EPC, has announced new orders worth INR 1,133 crores for transmission and distribution (T&D) projects within India. The company won a prestigious ±800 kV HVDC transmission line and a 765 kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) project from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), alongside a 400 kV quad transmission line order from a private developer.

Vimal Kejriwal, MD and CEO of KEC International, expressed pride in these multiple wins, noting that the HVDC order strengthens the company’s T&D order book following last year’s similar wins. He highlighted the positive outlook on the sector’s growth fueled by increasing energy demand and the government’s focus on expanding renewable energy and transmission infrastructure.

KEC International operates across several verticals including power transmission and distribution, civil works, railways, urban infrastructure, renewables, oil & gas pipelines, and cables. The company currently executes infrastructure projects in over 30 countries and has a footprint extending to more than 110 countries through EPC and supply of towers and cables.
