Juniper Green Energy Fast-Tracks 103 MWp Solar Project in Maharashtra

Jul 23, 2025

Juniper Green Energy has successfully commissioned an additional 43 MWp of solar capacity at its hybrid power project site in Wardha, Maharashtra. This brings the total commissioned solar component of the 129 MWp hybrid renewable energy project to 103 MWp. The solar capacity was delivered in two phases—59.55 MWp on June 6, 2025, and 43 MWp on July 14, 2025—marking full completion within just eight months of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) signing with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL).

The project was executed by Juniper Green Power Five Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Juniper Green Energy. What makes this achievement particularly noteworthy is that the entire solar component has been commissioned almost 16 months ahead of its original scheduled date of November 17, 2026. This early delivery demonstrates Juniper’s strong project execution capabilities and its commitment to accelerating India’s clean energy transition.

The rapid deployment highlights growing efficiency in India's solar infrastructure and Juniper's proactive contribution to Maharashtra’s energy needs. With increasing pressure on utilities to balance demand and decarbonize, fast-tracked projects like this provide a reliable path forward, helping the state move closer to its renewable energy targets.
