JSW Energy Signs 300 MW Solar-Wind Hybrid PPA with NHPC at Rs3.49/kWh

JSW Energy, through its subsidiary Energizent Power Private Limited, has inked a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NHPC Limited for a 300 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected solar-wind hybrid project. The project, spread across Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh, is expected to be commissioned within 24 months at a tariff of Rs3.49/kWh.

This addition brings JSW Energy’s total locked-in generation capacity to 29.9 GW, comprising 12.5 GW of operational capacity and 12.8 GW under construction. The hybrid project supports the company’s strategy of expanding renewable capacity while ensuring round-the-clock power delivery through energy diversification.

JSW Energy has also secured 29.3 GWh of energy storage capacity — 26.4 GWh from hydro and 2.9 GWh from battery storage — aligning with its long-term ambition of reaching 30 GW of generation and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by FY2030. The company aims for carbon neutrality by 2050, with a sharp focus on green and hybrid power solutions as India accelerates its clean energy transition.
