JSW Energy Signs 180 MW Wind PPA with Amazon, Expanding C&I Portfolio

JSW Energy has achieved a significant milestone by signing a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Amazon for the supply of renewable energy from a 180 MW wind power project in Tamil Nadu through open access. This agreement marks another major step in JSW Energy’s expansion within the commercial and industrial (C&I) renewable energy segment.

With this new deal, JSW Energy’s total locked-in capacity has now reached 4 GW, reinforcing its leadership in the sector. Of this capacity, 2.7 GW is allocated to JSW Group companies, while 1.3 GW is dedicated to external customers through group captive and third-party open access models.

This partnership highlights the growing demand for corporate renewable energy procurement, as companies like Amazon push for sustainable energy solutions to power their operations. By developing large-scale wind projects, JSW Energy is not only contributing to India’s clean energy transition but also strengthening its role as a key player in the C&I renewable energy market.
