JAKEDA Invites Bids for 175 MW Rooftop Solar Projects in J&K
Feb 11, 2025
The Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA) has issued a tender to empanel developers for setting up 175 MW of rooftop solar projects under the renewable energy service company model on government buildings. The bid submission deadline is February 28, 2025, with opening scheduled for March 1, 2025.
Bidders must provide an earnest money deposit of Rs5 lakh/MW, a performance bank guarantee of Rs6 lakh/MW/project, and a tender fee of Rs50,000. The scope includes survey, design, engineering, financing, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and 25-year operation and maintenance.
The maximum allocated capacity per bidder is 75 MW, with a minimum capacity utilization factor (CUF) of 13.5%. Projects must be commissioned within five months in urban areas and seven months in rural areas. Individual project sizes will range from 20 kW to 500 kW.
Bidders must have a minimum turnover of Rs1.1 Cr/MW over the last three financial years and prior experience with at least 1 MW of grid-connected solar projects operational for a year.
This empanelment aligns with JAKEDA’s broader 200 MW rooftop solar initiative for government buildings in the union territory.
