IREDA Reports 27% Surge in Loan Sanctions, Reaches Rs47,453 crore in FY 2024-25

The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) has recorded a significant 27% rise in loan sanctions, reaching Rs47,453 crore for the financial year 2024-25, according to provisional data. Loan disbursements also increased by 20% to Rs30,168 crore, up from Rs25,089 crore in the previous fiscal year.
Additionally, IREDA’s outstanding loan book grew by 28%, standing at Rs76,250 crore as of March 31, 2025, compared to Rs59,698 crore in FY 2023-24.
Shri Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman & Managing Director of IREDA, reiterated the agency’s commitment to transparency and corporate governance. He stated, "IREDA’s consistent growth in loan sanctions, disbursements, and loan book reflects our unwavering dedication to financing renewable energy projects. We remain committed to supporting India’s clean energy transition through innovative and accessible financing solutions."
He also expressed gratitude to the Union Minister for New & Renewable Energy, MNRE officials, regulators, and IREDA’s Board of Directors for their support. Shri Das commended Team IREDA for their dedication to driving the organization's success.
