India’s Wind Energy Landscape Discussed at Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue

In the lead-up to the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue, a high-level panel discussion was held on India’s wind energy sector, focusing on unlocking business opportunities and strengthening Indo-German partnerships. Representatives from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), and key players from the Indian and German wind industries participated in the discussion.

The session highlighted the work of the National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI) in offshore wind and the potential collaboration between India and Germany to accelerate clean energy deployment. Strategic partnerships between both nations could play a crucial role in achieving India’s ambitious renewable energy targets.

During the event, NSEFI’s 100GW Solar Milestone commemoration memento was presented to Barbara Schafer, Head of South Asia at BMZ, recognizing her contributions as a strong supporter of India’s renewable energy journey. This engagement underscored the importance of international cooperation in achieving sustainable energy goals.
