Hero Future Energies Signs 120 MW PPA with NTPC for Firm, Dispatchable RE Supply

Hero Future Energies (HFE) has taken a significant step toward strengthening India’s clean energy future by signing a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NTPC Limited. This agreement is for the supply of Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE)—a model that ensures consistent and reliable green power delivery, overcoming one of the key limitations of traditional renewable energy.

The upcoming 120 MW project, part of NTPC’s FDRE 1 initiative, is designed to meet the long-term energy needs of a major North Indian state for the next 25 years. Once operational, it will provide a stable supply of renewable energy that can be dispatched on demand—making it a crucial element in balancing the grid and reducing dependency on fossil fuels.
