Hazoor Multi Projects Limited to Develop 500 MW Solar Park in Andhra Pradesh

Feb 05, 2025

Hazoor Multi Projects Limited (HMPL) is set to expand its renewable energy footprint with the development of a 500 MW solar park in Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh. The project, valued at INR 2,500 crore, will cover 2,000 acres and is expected to make a significant contribution to India's clean energy targets.

The project is backed by the New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation (NREDCAP), and the Andhra Pradesh government has requested HMPL to submit a detailed project report (DPR) for further evaluation. This solar park aligns with the state’s vision of becoming a major hub for solar energy production, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable energy.

HMPL has been aggressively expanding its solar energy portfolio, having recently added 1.2 GW of capacity in Maharashtra. The Andhra Pradesh project is another key milestone in the company’s growth strategy, with the added benefit of creating local jobs and fostering economic development in the region.

With strong government backing and a growing demand for renewable energy, this project plays a crucial role in advancing India’s transition to a greener future, supporting the nation’s long-term sustainability goals.
