GUVNL Launches Phase-VI 1000 MWh BESS Tender

GUVNL has issued its Phase-VI tender for a 1000 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Gujarat, with bids due by February 24, 2025. The project, under the build-own-operate (BOO) model, offers a capacity of 1000 MWh (500 MW x 2 hours) for "on-demand" usage, with a minimum bid size of 100 MWh.
The BESPA will be valid for 12 years, with full commissioning timelines set at 18 months for up to 250 MW and 24 months for larger capacities. This tender adds to GUVNL's 12.2 GWh standalone BESS portfolio.
