Gensol Wins Rs967.98 Crore EPC Contract for 245 MW Solar Project at Khavda

Feb 09, 2025

Gensol Engineering Limited has secured a Rs967.98 crore EPC contract, including GST, for the development of a 245 MW solar PV project at the Khavda Renewable Energy (RE) Power Park in Gujarat's Rann of Kutch. The project also includes three years of operation and maintenance (O&M) services, reinforcing Gensol’s growing influence in India’s renewable energy sector.

This contract follows another recent Rs1,062.97 crore EPC win for a 275 MW solar project at the same location. With these back-to-back project awards, Gensol is now responsible for developing 520 MW of solar capacity at Khavda, which is set to become the world’s largest hybrid renewable energy park. The site will be instrumental in India’s transition to clean energy.

Anmol Singh Jaggi, Managing Director and Chairman of Gensol Engineering, expressed pride in these significant contract wins, stating that they reaffirm Gensol’s commitment to delivering top-tier renewable energy solutions. He highlighted India’s rapid progress toward energy independence and the role of solar energy in this transformation.

Shilpa Urhekar, CEO of Solar EPC (India) at Gensol, emphasized that the trust from a leading public sector undertaking in awarding these contracts showcases the company’s engineering excellence. She noted that securing two major projects in a short period further strengthens Gensol’s position as a key EPC player in India’s solar energy market.
